It is hot in eastern Ne. How hot you say-----well, trees are looking for dogs, thats how hot. Got to the range at 7:30, temp 77degrees, set up and started shooting at 8:00 (range rules), temp 80 degrees. Shot until 9:30, temp 90 degrees, humidity way up there, but don't know exact count. Have been working on 22H, 223, and 22-250. Think I will do a temp comparison of loads when temps are in the high 60's/low 70's, and then do a cold weather test with same loads when it is down around freezing. I quit when I couldn't keep the swet out of my eyes. One good thing about it, I was the only one dumb enough to shoot in the heat. Was 93 when I got home, forcast to push if not make 100.

This heat is killing the farmers, and will be killing the consumers when food prices rocket up in the next few months.

'Bout the same here in Illinois. Was kinda overcast and 77 deg. when I left here a little after 8 but, by the time I drove the 26 miles to the range, the dashboard thermometer was reading 85. Shot the .308 for awhile...'til the mirage got so bad I couldn't 'read' my 200M targets...then switched the the .38-55 (easier to see the bigger holes). Got back here around lunchtime and it was 98 in the shade.

Well we got a nice rain this afternoon. cooled it off a bit and I didn't have to water the wifes flowers. I have the windows open and the AC off and a beer left for later.

We don't get rain these days. The other day the sun did sweat on us a bit but no rain.

I could shoot Al Gore for inventing global warming. If he hadn't of invented it we wouldn't be suffering thru it today!

Oops, I forgot. al Gore didn't invent local warming. He never could have done it without the government. Yep, our government invented global warming and now we are suffering.

If we had just given Al a little more time and more of a chance I am sure he would have developed, or invented Global warming! Now that he is divorced, he will shirly have more time to invent all sorts of things that we really don't need!

It was only 84 , a very normal summer daytime high for us but after weeks of 98-104 every day it felt cool especially in the shade with a breeze

we also finally got some rain Thursday night and into Friday morning we hadn't had but a trace since early june

Not to say it was hot but I went to the range the other day. Did some shooting, then went to get some bullets to melt back down. Started going thru the berm, my bullets had smelted themselves in the heat! Yep, I was pulling ingots out of the berm. Now that's not!

Last few weeks it was over a 100 here in middle TN, to hot to do much.
Past few days it has cooled off, still humid as all get out!
Those hot days was very hard on me, I work out side some
and got sick from it a few times.

I got some nice steak for the grill on the way home from church. It was $3.99 a pound, which seems to pass for a good price now adays. Guess I will go get the rest and freeze it solid for when things really tighten up.

If it gets any hotter or dryer, I'm going to have to start watering my stocks.
