A little casting during the break from the heat

It's been raining every day for a week here in Houston. I was able to take advantage of the cooler weather and do a little casting. I've been wanting to cast from a mould that I haven't used much, the MiHec 380 Auto.
I cast and sized 500 + Rounds with very little sweat.

Nice! It has been running close to 100/or over the century mark for most of the time for the last 2 weeks. Regardless, I cast in the garage w/door open, fan behind me, in the early morning when it is still in the high 70's. I stop when it hits the 90's and swet from my forehead drips on my molds.

I took advantage of the weather and smelted another 400 lbs of wheel weights out back over the weekend. It was nice and stormy overcast (no rain), 70 degrees all morning! Glad it cooled off for a bit, my ingot stash was running low and I hate smelting at two in the morning.

105 here yesterday. To hot to cast in the garage, but I sized and lubed about 500 WC's in the AC basement. Probably will do the same today. Supposed to cool down to 104 today!

Your yesterdays heat will be mine tomorrow. This sure hasn't been a smelting and casting Summer. Glad I got plenty done last Winter. All I can do now is make black willow charcoal on the grill, after cooking.

I have been wanting to cast some boolits for my .45 Colt Tracker to put PB gas checks on.

It has been running around 104 to 106 for the last couple of weeks with no end in the near future.

I did another short casting session Friday evening. I need to stock up on 45 ACP's. Casting from my two banger MiHec mould, I only wound up with about 350 boolits. But I spent a lot of time setting up. I had plans to finish the casting session Saturday evening but something else came up. I put all the gear back up yesterday.

Not bad here today, Maybe 83 degrees. Set up my pot outside putting a fan mext to me and cast about 1400 .358, Love that Lee 6 cavity mold.

I did 830something 125gr lee 9mms over the weekend. With a 2 cavity mold.
