Trail Boss in the Hornet anyone?

Has anyone tried Trail Boss in the hornet with cast or jaxketed's? I have propelled an air rifle pellet with 1gr of it but not at any kind of range.

The air rifle pellets? One at a time. I've done it with H4227 (AR2205) and gotten use-able accuracy. Then I got clever and pushed the velocity up into hyperspace and got a load more powerful than a 22lr. I took it out into the field to test but the pellets never reached the target. They went hyperspace walk about! I didn't pursue that one. But now I want to play with my hornet again and am thinking of being able to take out critters without the worry of over travelling projectiles but still get to use the hornet. OK then, I want to plink beer cans! (The critter story sounds more impressive and maybe I might actually find an application someday).:mrgreen:

I've tried the hollow base pellets with 1.5 gr. of Unique and a SP primer, the pellets don't fit tight in the case neck so you have to be careful. Should have no trouble hitting those big beer cans you all have over there.

I tried the pellet in the hornet thing a mag pistol primer propelled it along just fine for my basement range but my daisy 853 Is way more accurate so I never pursued it any farther

I shot TB under 225438. Not all that accurate in my rifles.
