i just got a magma 90 lb pot. for those that use one bottom pour, have you ever tride to attach a cable to the handel to a foot peddel to releas the lead. this would leave both hands free. just a thought. also since the spout is harder to see than on my rcbs 22 lb pot, how higt or to what level to your eye do you have yours? i sit down bost of the time. i see rcbs has a 45 de. angle in ft so you can see the spout easer. thanks

IS THAT sholder hight to the top of the pot or bottom at the spout ? when you consider your pot full, how far down from the top is the lead? 1/2 in, 1 in ?

Bottom of the spout.
I fill mine 3/4 full any more and the (flowing of lead) pressure at the nozzle is to high for my needs.

USED MY 90 LB POT LAST NIGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME. HAD IT ABOUT 1 1/2 IN FROM TOP. HAD IT AT 700 STEADY. ADDED A 5 LB BAR . IT ONLY LOWERED THE TEMP ABOUT 3 DEG. CASTED 500 BULLETS WHILE WATCHING MY DIGITAL THOMETER IT STAYED AT 700. I FOUND OUT FROM MAGMA THE ELEMENTS ARE IN THE BOTTOM UNLIKE RCBS 22 LB. YOU CAN CAST IT DOWN ALMOST TO THE BOTTOM WITH OUT ADDING LEAD. I WILL PROBLEY KEEP MINE ABOUT 1 1/2 -- 2 IN FROM THE TOP. THAT IS WHY I GOT THE BIG POT WHERE I COULD KEEP A LOTS OF LEAD TO KEEP THE TEMP FROM CHANGING AS YOU ADDED 5 LB BARS. ONLY GOT ONE DRIP EVER 3-4 CAST. DID ANY ONE OF YOU PUT A WOODEN HANDEL ON IT. I USE A THIN LEATHER GLOVE AND IT WAS A LITTLE HOT. THANKS sorry fot thr caps i use cap lock on most of the time in my work.

I built this stand for my Magma 40# pot. I cast sitting and it's at shoulder level.

I made this oak handle, makes it a ton easier to pour the lead and I don't stick my finger on the side of the hot pot. A foot peddle hhmmm . . . got me thinkin, I'm in trouble now.
