Today, I fired up my new Lee six cavity .452 200 gr. SWCTL. All went well, then I found they were a little bigger than I wanted. So I ran them through my Lyman 450 and lubed them with NRA 50/50.

My question is, is this okay to do? The grooves appeared to be full.

I don't care for TL lubing,so I use the sizer on all of my TL bullets they work well with no leading .If I have a lee mold that is casting up to .006 over I buy a new mold.(not Lee) I like the iron molds ,they seem to last longer.

Maybe. You did not give any diamentions. The bullet needs to be bigger than the grove diamenter about 1 to 1.5 thousands, but I have not had problems with 2 thousands over grove diamenter. NRA 50/50 is good stuff. I use 45/45/10 lube on all my pistol bullets and it works well. Thier is nothing wrong with a Lee TL bullet in my opinion. Some Lee molds cast on the large size but sometimes it works out. I have a S&W safety hammerless that needs a bullet of .360, my Lee 38 calber 105swc lists at .358 but casts at .361 this works for me.

Ray, I have a .30cal Lee TL mold whose droppings are used in my .30-06. Sometimes I run them through my Ly. #450 to slightly size and lube them. Other times I just swish them around in Liquid Alox or Lar's Xlox (see bottom of screen LsStuff.com). I haven't found much difference in performance using either method. In fact, using the 450 defeats the purpose of a tumble lube bullet doesn't it?
