9mm 140 gr cast swc with accurate no.5 or titegroup

i need your help for load data of 9mm 140gr cast bullets from MP molds..just cant find any load data online...thanks....

It's unlikely your 140 grain mold is going to throw boolits that weigh exactly 140 grains. Exact weight will depend on alloy to a large extent and they may be lighter or heavier than 140 grains. Depends on what alloy the maker standardized with versus what you're using.

That being said, you can use Accurate's data for 147 grain "Lead Bullets". They have a downloadable load manual that can be gotten from their web site. Start with the starting load and work up; all normal safety and load development precautions should be followed.

The Hodgdon site list Titegroup data for 147 jacketed bullet. Generally you can use jacketed bullet data with cast boolits. Again, start with suggested starting loads and follow all normal safety and load development precautions.

tried this bullet in my 9mm. first, great bullet in the 38spl. does great with hp38
or accurate #5. have the six cavity and the two cavity mold, both drop at 140grains with a dia of .359".

was accurate in my 9mm, but had really bad feeding issues. never could get a good o.a.l. that would feed in all (4) my 9mm.

did purchase the lee 358-125rn and it is working great. drops at 127 grains,
with a dia of .359-.360". becasue of the s&w 5906/5903 o.a.l must be set at
1.030".

used 3.3 grains of hp38, with a 135 grain 2 alpfa bullet, just enough to work the slides.

Ooop's........bought the same mold, six cavity 140grains SWC with the idea of using it in my 9mm.

But reading your post, don't like my chances, :-D & I've only got one 9mm :(

As posted above, I couldn't get it to feed reliably. Had to smack the slide with my palm to close it.

The other concern is seating depth. I seats very deep, and unlike 147 gr boolits, the mass is the base not the nose. Be VERY careful when working up loads. 9mm are high pressure to begin with. A slight overcharge or seated to deep will raise the already high pressure dramatically.

My recommendation would be the LEE 105 SWC. Still has the feeding issues, and palm treatment, but seats a heck of a lot less deep.
