Greetings [smilie=s:
Near 3 years ago I put up the gear and headed back to Peru. Today I went for a nice walk along woody edges and brushy stretches with the Savage 32-20. That is good medicine for a body. Climbed three trees and spent well over an hour in one. That one is a very large old oak I have used for numerous mornings past to pop ground hogs, deer and call coyotess. Did some trimming of brush and limbs to open up the shooting lanes again. No ground hogs anywhere. Word is the cougars and coyotoes got them. Never heard one crow. But there is a family of racoons causing a feller problems that I have been invited to clean out. Gonna be a fine time for a 115 grain flat nose over 6 grains of Unique.

Ahh, the 32-20, one of my favoritest cartridges.

There's something about a walk in the woods that get's rid of all the cobwebs AND the worries of the day.

Welcome back.

Enjoy and welcome back to the states . I have been having coon problems also got 5 in a week and a half neighbor (1/2 mile away) told me he is seeing some out in the day and is shooting them too he uses a 5.56 mm . That 32-20 would be ideal for coons I have not used it yet on coons want to try .351 Winchester Self Load on them and coyotes. Have taken two deer with it.

Welcome back. I know in your work there is a price to pay by being away from "home" for extended time. We also know that we were all designed to need some R&R for our soul, mind, and body. Enjoy yours. You have earned it.

Howdy everyone
Headed back to Peru in January. Still a bunch of villages and neighborhoods where there is no Bible Truth announced. Lots of religion...
Been spending about an hour each day on the old R75/5 Beemer (1971) scouting about for deer and other critters walking the fields. Should not be any trouble filling the freezers of several people once bow season opens in October. Would really like to get close to a cougar some have seen and "does not exist" according to DNR green suiters. It is a joy to be around trees again. Waiting on some rain to get North Fork up to kayak level and come down from Alvin to the next bridge past Bismark Road Bridge. About 15 miles of very nice water and some good fishing.
If you are ever going to be close to Danville let me know and I may be able to point the Beemer your way.

I under stand that in your job/vocation you go where you are called, but to walk the fieds of home, you have to experience it to know.
