I used to avoid those "permanent yard sales" that some people have... until I started scouting for pewter. I stopped at a place with lots of knick-knacks, everything was priced cheap (like when little old church ladies have yard sales and you wonder how they make any money with everything priced at .05 - .25).
I didn't find anything until I opened a shoe box on a shelf, it had half a dozen pewter picture frames that said "Homecoming 1999." They guy said to just take them for free, I gave him a buck anyhow. He seemed happy, never asked what I would ever want them for.
