If i was to use the 452460 boolit, cast of very soft alloy(between 7.5&8), about how fast could i shoot this, with accuracy, and without leading problem?

Not familar with the 45 acp,and realize that these boolits are pretty soft, but would like to use them instead of remelting. How fast can i load them to? thanks,,,,

Another thought... how light of a load can ya go,and still have the slide function?

Only your gun knows for sure. Proper fit and a good lube allow for softer alloys in many cases, but not all.
I would try a starting load froma manual and go from there.

Try a few, only way to know. Naturally at start level.

Most factory wad cutters are significantly softer and do just fine at 700 to 800 fps.

I would be really surprised of you can't push them to 900 ( IF THEY FIT CORRECTLY ).

You will be fine at up to full power loads in most .45 ACPs with a good lube and good fit.

Try NRA 50-50 or LBT blue and .452 diameter unless you have an oversized barrel groove
dimension. About 4.8 of BE or TG, or 5.6 of W231 and you will be good to go. Moderate
taper crimp is required.

Like MtGun44 said, you should be able to run them at most any reasonable .45ACP load level. I'm currently using an alloy at 9 BNH casting 200gr. SWC and RNHP, running 930 fps out of my Kimber Super Carry Pro (4") and 980 out of the Eclipse full size without any leading at all. I'm using White Label BAC lube, and boolits sized at .4515 - no problems. You just need to ensure you have a good lube and good fit.

mainiac - I used to load as low as 4.2 of 231 and Titegroup. They functioned well and were accurate. Either way, just sayin... enjoy Mike
