I see tin selling for $10 and up per lb I just bought a little over 5lbs for 25 bucks and that had $12 shipping in the total

That's nothing. I forgot where I saw a guy offering 2 bucks a pound and free shipping.

I expect tomorrow I'll forget where a guy will be paying me to take it away...

I just took thirteen lbs of copper jackets to the scrap yard, and was paid sixty bucks to trade them the jackets for ninety-one lbs of lead.
