Hi,
Must be one of the flat points, 200-255 gr.

Need experience re. reliable feeding for fast cowboy shooting.

TL452-230TC looks like just the ticket, anybody used this?

Oh, Uberti-Winchester 1873.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
C.

you can t/l a regular boolit.
or pan lube and use a push through.
lee makes a nice 250 gr rnfp that is a regular style boolit.
and gives you the option of lubing the other way's also if the t/l don't work for you.

That Lee boolit may not be big enough at .452 as most Uberti firearms like a 454 boolit better,
the TC nose works though.
One other thing the OAL is critical in the 73, to long and it won't feed from the mag tube.

My lee 230 tc drops them at just a schoche over .454. I did make some cowboy loads with them, and the oal crimped into the last groove just at the "shoulder" was 1.60. I used them in my first match ever ( 2 weekends ago) and they seemed to work ok. I loaded them over 7.3 of unique , unsized with a heavy crimp. This seemed to reduce smoky cases a little bit. One of the great guys had just bought a six banger lee 200 rnfp so he loaned me his 2 hole. It uses less alloy . I was concerned that a lighter boolit would not his close to the same point as my everyday carry loads or my hunting loads, but at the ranges the targets are set it does not seem to matter. Next month, I'll be using the 200 grain rnfp.

+1 for the 200 gr RNFP. I have both the LEE 230 TC mold and the LEE 200 RNFP and the RNFP feeds more relaibly in all of my guns.

T have the 230 TC with lube groves. Runs great through my 73, 92, and Marlin. Shoots well in my revolvers and 1911's. I have the six cavity and can cast around 500 an hour. I saw thumbs up.

Works fine in the 1911.
Drops a percentage heavier than listed.
