I tried to post this on a different section, but I don't have permission to use that page. Well, I bought a Lee mold, which I am not use to doing. It cast good enough for what I paid for it, just a little big. I was veiwing older post about Lee 8mm Karibiner mold and how I was having with the wide nose and Meplat on this bullet. I reached out to a member who gave me an insight on how I might sovle my problem. Member Bret4207, is the kind of member I should think most everyone here is. I got into cast from my Father & Uncle who were happy to cast and shoot & hunt with them. It has long been my wish to get "Good" at it. Thanks for helping me improve. Such a simple solution, I couldn't even see it. Just a shout out to Bret4207, Thanks, Prodigal Son.

Well as Bret said after advising me to nose size also. The only way to see if they would work was to go "shoot". Today I did some shooting with my M98 BYF 45 custom Sporterized 8x57. Iam shooting the Lee 8mm Karibiner 215 GC boolit. It cast .329 and 230 grs. So I sized to .323 and seat the GC first, then flip over and size the nose. I started with 29.0 grs of a powder I use in my 9x57, 246 RNGC 358318 and have poor goups and am shooting at 55 yards. I bumped the load a .5 gr at a time, little improvement. So, I go to IMR 3031 start at 29.0 grs and show some progress, just shooting low and left. Work my way up to 32.0 grs of IMR 3031 a .5 gr at a time. Moved the sites slightly, and the last 3 shots a group of three you can cover with a nickle! Also seated the boolits to where it just engaged the rifling. I'm happy cast the boolits a week ago, I'm sure they will get better as they age. Try 100 yards tomorrow. If I can hold it and focus on the first site, I'll have good groups!
