My wife is, without question or debate, the most wonderful woman I have ever had the pleasure of being in company of.

While I was away, workin' my silly, littly fanny off mining a berm, she sat in the hot sun at an estate auction, waiting 'till the very end, to bid on a rifle for me. She got in a bidding war with a dealer and promptly brought him to understand he wasn't leavin' with that rifle, under any circumstances. I now own it.

If that ain't enough, I get home, walk in the back door, she hands me my Winchester '94 in .375 Win. and then hands me a bag and says "I got this for you, too!"

Jim you made a good catch when you got her. Its kinda funny because we usually want to see the gun pics, but I noticed that no body said anything about it because the pictures you attached pretty well said what needed to be said.

So just so I have this straight; you are berm mining and she is at the auction? That's fantastic on both counts! You should be marriage counsellors!!!!!

I tried to get Janet to pose with the rifle, but she wouldn't buy into that. She's very shy.

So.... Have you seen the car / garage door yet? :kidding:

Don't mind me. Just all bitter and jaded. ;-) I haven't found one of her quality yet. A nice rifle AND a nice bottle. A good one for sure.

Just gettin' started puttin' things together for this rifle. A friend gave me a mold and I just got done runnin' some about a half hour ago. Waitin' for the dies to come in from Midsouth. Ordered a custom made sizer die from Buckshot, should see that first part of next week.

As for brass, all I have right now is a few rounds of .30-30 that I'm going to fireform. 375 Win. brass is about as scarce as hen's teeth, so to answer your question, no Sir, I got no brass.

By the way, fellas, Janet is a good, ol' fashioned third generation Polish girl, raised on old school values. She was taught the man is the provider, protector and is to be honored above all else.

And, no, she doesn't have any sisters. I got the prototype, the only model produced.

Jim,

Although I'm new, not many posts yet, allow me to say, I've got one of those one-in-a-million wives too. Let me get out the bottle of 18 year old single malt scotch that she bought me the other day and we'll drink a toast to the ladies who love us.

Jim, you been throwing on that flowered apron hanging on the kitchen chair and cooking supper, then doing dishes?

You gotta be doing something....so give it up man, that way i can get my wife to do the same thing!!

Jim, I'm sure you already know this, but re-formed 30/30 brass shouldn't be used for full power 375 Winny loads. It does, however, make for great low- to mid- power loads, and with the right recipes I'll bet that rifle will be a tack-driver! You are indeed a fortunate man!

It's really very simple: Just make her feel like she's the most important person in the whole world. Actually, to me she is!

Gunbroker has quite a few listed from $800 to over a grand. Winchester quit makin' these rifles in '87. Eventually, there will be very few available.

He's not gonna sell that factory ammo for the little I would offer. I can roll my own for ten cents a piece.
