Looking for boolits to test- GC or PB, would also consider appropriate PP mould. Need something suitable for a .458 groove Dia. and 14" twist at velocities 1400 fps and up. Lyman #457193 would be of particular interest, either the mould or some samples for testing.
Have many kinds of .310 rifle or .452 and .431 pistol boolits to swap. Or cash.

Thanks Doug!
And to the others who have PM'd me about this.
In your honor, I'm going to title my eventual post on the .458 X 2" American reloading project ".457, the friendly caliber".
Must be the large amounts of Lead you big bore guys are used to giving away every time you pull the trigger?

Bert,
I'm preparing to move into BP .45-70 and I have bought most of the available moulds including Hoch nose pour 550gr. It could take me a while to get a round tuit. Do heavier bullets sound intriguing?

Bert I have many molds for the 45 cal from 330hp to 485 RNGC. the closest to 457193 is a Accurate Mold 460-405. If you want will make up A SFR box with a sample of what I have. One trick you can use with the 458-2" for plain base boolit you want to push faster then there made for is to use a powder that fills to the base of the boolit. Then place a GC upside down in the flared case and use the boolit to set the GC. Using this method I have pushed a 457122(330hp) to 2100 in my 450Marin bolt gun. This load is very hard on deer. Clint :lovebooli
