I have a Stainless with Ballard Rifling

It all depends on loaded OAL!! If you can load that 300 grainer and keep OAL in check then it should work, trying it is the only to find out.

They work well in mine. Have to fiddle with the ejector a bit (straightening the spring) for it to feed without hesitation, but it works well.

I have shot both factory "J" bullets and hand cast 300 gr. in my Marlin and seated to required OAL they fed fine, the accuracy was poor though.

My gun has 1:38" twist and I find it just doesn't like boolits over about 270 gr. so that is my max weight.

The cartridge stop can easily be modified to allow longer OAL so you don't have to seat so deep. Be careful with OAL though to make sure you do not load too long. You can get them into the magazine but you may have to disassemble if they won't feed onto the carrier.

What I found to be most trouble was feeding into the chamber. My gun did not like SWC's or wide meplat designs. The incoming round was pointed too high to enter the chamber easily so I filed the carrier to lower the nose of the boolit and now it feeds well.

The lee 310 grain feeds fine in my 1894P 44 mag.

SWC's or large meplat styles were a problem in my gun until I worked on it. Some seem to feed them fine and some do not. Maybe factory tolerances stack up in the wrong direction sometimes.
