If anyone lives within reasonable driving distance of Warner Robins, GA (near Macon), the 3270 lbs of battery cable ends might be of interest.

includes: battery post connectors;

I have bought several boxes of these from a member here, they test BNH 10 and make terrific bullets - as-is.

Better be a large propane bottle, or a bunch of 20#'ers.

My 20# tank lasts about 6,000 lbs. One should be enough to do this if it is full.

Maybe get it at a good price, but the 2000mile drive, one way(for me), will get costly.:veryconfu

I might have to keep an eye on this one, it's just a hop skip and jump up the road from me. Wonder how long it would take to melt all that lead.

Too little for the Chinese to mess with buying. By the way, there was a lot of 200,000 pounds that said it was not to be exported, or something similar.

The auction is for Lead ENCASED in STEEL. Even if was free not sure I would take it. I can see my wife's ( exwife's) face after she sees a 10,000 beam hanging out the truck and me looking for some more gas to melt this b----.

Well, yeah, a guy would have to put in some sweat equity to get a good deal like this. :-D

But the government is giving you 90 days to get it to the smelter...:)

If I were within 200 miles of this, I would have a bid in on this!

(The original link, not the 200.000 pounds)

Okay, $1,080 winning bid for 3,200 pounds is a great deal, but not a fantastic, once in a lifetime deal about which we would all be having nightmares

I wonder how much of it is steel?
Maybe some copper too if cable ends are in the lot.

C'mon.... What could possibly have gone wrong dealing with uncle Sammy. As soon as I read the rules I get totally ticked off at the gov. Mutilated? I guess you could just whack it with a hammer or drive over it with a loader? What nonsense.
