There is a mold selling on E-Bay right now. Here is the description:

This is a unique mold throwing a spitzer shaped bullet. It takes gas checks. It measures 0.320 stamped on the mold. A little tight for .32 cal but right for 6.5 mm to 7.7 mm. British .303 also. No rust and is nicely maintained.

I guess this falls into the category of " One size fits all ".

I'm not exactly clear how the same cast bullet could fit in a 6.5 barrel, and also fit in all calibers up to .312". I wonder if this fellow knows something that I've been unaware of for the last 35 years that I've been shooting cast bullets ?

I never cease to be amazed at some of these people on E Bay ! ! !

I don't have a single granule of interest in buying the mold. My point is - - - - People attempt to sell bullet molds on E-Bay and don't have a speck of knowledge about what they have and are trying to sell to E-Bay buyers. No knowledge of caliber designation , no brand of manufacturer, no weight, no style, The only description of the mold they might offer you in their ad is " Single hole mold and makes a bullet about 3/8 " in diameter....Gee that really tells you a lot - - right !

That's a lot like selling a computer on EBay and listing it as " Sits on table, white in color and plugs into the wall ."

We will have to get 45 2.1 to give us a weight. Should we have her GC or PB I would think one crimp ring with a large lube ring for the smoke pole shooters, should be usable with Short and Long barrels, size shouldn't matter.

OLPDon:

It's worth a look at his "other items"; badly mis-identified (like the #321247 8mm bullet he claims to be shooting in his .25-06), but some pretty decent moulds there.

Must cast bubble gum boolits so they can be squeezed down easily.

If he got even the ".320" right, he may have a mould casting a heel bullet for the Cadet Martini.

The reason it has the spitzer shape is so it will start in all those bore sizes. You just gotta put enough powder in the case to force the bullet to squeeze down as enters the bore.

Ackley once chambered an Eddystone Enfield in35 Whelen...on a .270 barrel. He shot the WTC 275gr jacketed bullets in it to prove the point that Eddystone actions are as good (over 150,000) as the others. Maybe this guy has that rifle!

Geez, I wonder if I could bump them up to use in my 45/70? It would be the all round bullet mold and I could sell off all those others cluttering up the bench.
