Here are some photos of my glulelit trap setup.

The trap (made out of a large cardboard box).

A view of the inner workings. There is a rug (backed by heavy cardboard) hanging on a dowel inside the box to deflect the gluelits down. The back is also lined with sheet metal to stop rouge gluelits that get past the rug.

Looking inside with all of the gluleits waiting to be recovered.

Nothin wrong with some old fashioned can plinkin.

I have been watching these hot glue threads...I believe you guys are spelling it wrong......should it not be gloolits?

I would contact 3m or whoever makes these sticks and see if they will make you some phos..phosph..phosphorescent......glow in the dark glue sticks,,then you could have tracer gloolits:mrgreen:

How many reloads are you getting per gloolit, before they get bad?

Nice fun looking setup....I like it.

A change in the spelling would require a vote by the NAGS (North American Glue Shooters) membership. I think we only have about 3-4 members so the ballots should be easy to count.

Believe it or not there are allready glow in the dark glue sticks made. http://www.hisnibs.com/sealing_wax.htm#Glow%20In%20The%20Dark
Whether they are bright enough to be seen in flight remains to be seen.

Thus far I have gotten 3 firings from my gluelits, but they are still going strong allowing for the occasional one that breaks a nose off.

Jump in and join the fun :Fire:

Well sure..... I drink MB when I'm on a red beer kick (fairly frequently).:redneck: Seems kind of a waste to mix "good" beer with tomato juice. Rest assured if you ever come by for a visit I'll have a Henry Weinard's in the fridge for you. :drinks:

I tried a set of gloobits today. Wow what a blast. Work great in the XD 45. I've not made any from moulds, rather just stuck a glue stick in a .45 ACP primed case and cut the end off flush.

Enough poop to tear up pop cans for sure. I've been capturing and saving the gloobits I've shot... I noticed two types of Glue at Wal Mart. There was a HIGH temperature glue that seemed stiffer/harder. Then a NORMAL temperature glue that was much more soft/flexible.

I picked the hard stuff, but wonder if the soft stuff performs any differently.
