Just got a mold for the Lee 385-105 but the bullets seem too short to lube in my 1st gen LAM. I am maxed out on my bottom adjustment and the boolit still goes down way too far. Should my machine have more adjustment (maybe it's assembled wrong) or should I just tumble lube these little guys?

My RCBS does the same so I just have to give it a half stroke so I don't lube the front of the boolit.

Sometimes you can move the position of the locknut on the adjustment rod to above the casting.

How about pushing one of the 105's into the size die nose first then another base first on top of that. Adjust to lube the base first boolit, then eject only far enough to remove the base first boolit while leaving the nose first slug inside the die.???

....OK, I tried it with a 95 gr. boolit, works fine. :drinks:

you just have to size it and get lube in the groove.

This is what I ended up figuring out a little while ago. Thank you.
