30 30 cast bullet/ lee loader

I would like to load my cast bullets with a lee loader, is it possible? the mold is a Lee 170gr .309 diameter, I use WW lead, any advise or recommendation would be greatly welcome, I plan in the future to purchase a press and all the dies, but what I have now is what I have. Thanks all HC

should work okay you might have to get a little creative to get the boolit started in the case.
a little punch to give the case mouth some flair will help.
find one of junior 42's posts and click on his link he airc has an article on loading with one of these loaders in the deer camp.

You can actually get a case mouth expander from Lee for the 30-30. Cost is nominal and it fits in the Lee Loader box. Works on all .30s BTW. I also got an extra 1.9 dipper which throws 27.5 gr H4895 which is a very good load for 160 - 180 gr cast GC'd bullets in the 30-30. I've loaded lots of such cast with the Lee Loader.
