Soft lead, or....? I'm kinda wondering about hunting boolits with round noses, and gas checks made of pure lead, and shot kinda fast. Specifically if they'll expand (say .45 to.75) enough to make a good wound channel at say 100 yds. That's a fair mushroom.

I cast these with range scrape so there is about 75% commercial cast, 15% jacket lead and 10% 22 LR lead. The scrap was from the bulls eye range a lot of cast very few casters mostly commercial.
The load was 27.5 g SR 4759 in a French GRAS so the speed was no more than 1300fps
