Has anyone ever used a 300ish grain cast in .45 Win Mag? I have an AMT Automag in that cal, and a Lyman 300 gr. GC RF mold that looks like a good candidate. Being an auto, I was thinking start low, and work up until it functioned well. I was thinking perhaps 1,100 fps. would be reasonable. It has a 7" barrel, which should help in the velocity department. Thanks.
