Worked up loads for my 159 Hybrids in G20 with LW aftermarket bbl and Rose 121 38 Super Hps in 9mm for my G19. I decided 1400fps for the 10mm load was good and 1350fps for the 9mm was also good. Well within my pressure parameters and accurate. It will be my replacement for BlueDot. I'll pick up a 8 lb jug and be ready when the BD runs out. I look forward to seeing what it will do in the 40S&W.

I was also thinking of picking up a can to try as Barnes lists it for the HV powder for there all copper TAC-XP bullets , in most calibers

I have some LongShot and loaded it in .40 S&W in my Glock 24 and factory barrel. Its definately high velocity, IIRC I got 1350fps out of a 155gr LRN bullet and that wasn't even a full charge. I tried the same load in a LW aftermarket barrel and was greatly disappointed with both accuracy and velocity.

Longshot is great stuff. 180 grain bullets pushed to 1290 FPS out of my Glock 29 w/ aftermarket Storm Lake barrel. My 40 cal loads through my Lone Wolf barrel aren't slouches either. It is my baby cannon.

Is there any surplus powder similar to it????

While Power Pistol is still my favorite for the .38 Super, Longshot is my favorite for warmish loads using the Lee 175-grain TC, water-dropped boolits in the .40. No oily residue, you'll like it better than BD. And an 8-lb jug seems to last forever, and the stuff meters like water.

I've got a short barreled Blackhawk in .357 that loves Longshot under the Lee 140 SWC pushed into the mid 1300s. Its my go to load when gallon jugs at 100 yds are on the menu.

I have a few 8 lb jugs so I hope it works with NOE's 200 Grain SWC in .357.

I have a few more powders to try out first; AA#9, Green Dot, 800X, Power Pistol, and I'm sure there are a couple others I'm forgetting.
Unless I find that one of those powders gives me jaw dropping results in 10mm and 40, I'm going to be picking up an 8 pounder of Longshot!
I love the stuff!
(AutoComp is awesome too, its like the light bullet version of Longshot IMO)

I also found LongShot to give the best performance of all the powders I tried in 10MM. My Kimber Eclipse full-size launches a 180gr. Sierra JHC at 1320 with really good accuracy at 50 yards. This is my current "deer rifle".

Longshot sure seems to be a great choice for heavier 10mm loads. I like it for my 180 grain Gold dot loads.

For my 135 grain Noslers I like 800-x. That load wins gets the massive concussion award when fired from the G29. I need to get some slow motion video of me firing it because I swear the blast wave does some funny things to my face.

Aloxite, that thing it does to your face is called a "yaller-jacket-eatin' grin"!
