Been getting plumb discouraging, watching the prices for moulds which interest me. However, all's not completely dark for Ebay.

I just bought 100 new-unfired W-W .30-30 cases, plus 50 once-fired Federal .30-30s, plus 80 once-fired .270 WCF cases. All of these from the same seller, including postage, came to $27.00. As a f'r instance, Midway is asking $11.99 plus shipping for fifty W-W .30-30s.

I don't even own a .30-30, but a simple trip over the .32 Special expander makes perfect .32 brass out of the .30-30 cases.

That's great to here that it's not always referred to as "E-pay" :drinks:

I just scored 1k of .45 ACP CC's for $55.25 including shipping. These are once fired and cleaned. Midway sells once fired and dirty for over $40 for 500! If you know what to pay you can succed on E-bay but there is so much crap on there! Has anybody every seen a .45 case split or worn out? Not me and some I have loaded over 30 times.

actually I had a couple 45acp cartridges on my bench that had split. I admit it is rare but it does happen. Just have to watch closely, I found them while getting ready to reload them.

I've had a few .45 cases split over the years. Some of my cases are from WWII and I couldn't guess how many times they've been reloaded.

I've made a few good brass buys on eBay. It's funny how bidders will jump on one lot of brass and ignore a similar lot.

I've pretty much given up trying to buy moulds on eBay. The current production moulds can sometimes be bought cheaper at Graf's or Midway.

Just won a 7mm Lyman shilouette mould for $29.00 and a reader copy of "Mr. Rifleman" for $31.00. Steep, but lots less than I'd seen in the past.

I bought 2300 45 ACP cases for 89.00 including shipping. Most stuff is overpriced, you really have to know what things are worth. In that bunch of cases there were two that were split.

I bought a lyman 45 with 357,358 dies a few years back for.........16 bucks+10 for shipping...it was listed as "old reloading press".....It still works great....there are buys to find, but they are far and very few.

I bought some stuff cheap 500 once fired 22/250 brass (and one live one! Whoops!) for $AU90, new bulk brass is virtually $AU50/100 here, so it was a good buy. It was a big shoebox full.

I have got some Super Simplex dies cheap and a few odds and ends, but the prices seem to be going through the roof lately.

I did good on some books, a 1985 special book club edition of Elmer Keith's Shotguns which was never opened it looks like, very classy, leather bound, gold trim, etc for $US22 and a few Jack O'Connor's books, a book on Elmer Keith, a venison butchering book and some war books and other interesting books, I'm very hapy with them (I have so much reading matter, I will need to last another 50 years to get through them, I'm 59 now, I'd better get on it!!!!

The prices will drop soon as I will no doubt finally get around to selling stuff, the bottom will drop out of it then :D
