I just finished melting down 1700 lbs. of ww i had picked up. After making ihgots , i checked the weight of ingots and scrap from them. I had 1200 lbs. ingots and 500 lbs. scrap. That is about 35 % scrap. It use to be about 15 % . When you are buying ww keep in mind there will be a big west now.

It's still 15%+ if they are all lead. Clips & dros is about that. With more & more zinc & steel, the waste can be 50% now days. Why I won't buy buckets anymore, too much waste.

But if you cast your zinc into ingot's you can swap them at the recycler's.
I'm pretty sure clean zinc ingot's will bring in more money.
