One of my good friends works for a guy I went to HS with who owns the worlds largets RV sales/parts/salvage yard in the world. Sunday, armed with a pair of WW pliers I filled a 5 GL bucket. I must confess I didnt try to remove the 1-2 oz weights. I concentrated on the largest ones.
My hands were sore when I was finished and I could hardly lift the bucket which was sitting on the pickup tailgate.
When I got home I split the lode up into three buckets and the lightest one weighed 51 lbs.
I estimate I didnt even cover 1/10th of the yard. Some of the weights were off of large wheels and were almost as thick as my thumb. Bonanza!
I am going to smelt them, mark them as COWW then alloy them with smelted lead from the pistol range berm. Life is good!
Those of you who use COWW and range lead, what proportion do you use?
