I have been letting my WW bullets sit for 7 days before working with them. If they are water dropped is this aging still necessary?

I seat them the next day, just over night.

I size my water dropped bullets from the mould right after casting ! because in 24 hours they will be very hard about 25 BHN but will be even harder in about a month @30 bhn and will be hard to push through the sizer die ! depending on as cast dia verses sizing dia , you will probley only make this mistake once!! as at times you think you might break the L/S operating handel and the extra effort will tire you out fast.
Another option is mix 50% ww with 50% lead , if your mould will cast bullets to the correct dia with that mix & water drop from the mould and the final BHN will be around 16 BHN final hardness
You can also mix 75%ww & 25% lead but im not sure of the Water dropped hardness ! but id say somewhere between 18 & 23 BHN

Thanks.
In the past I realy havent had any issues with the lubrisizer after 7 days. Just leaves with down time and nothing to do.
Thanks for the info on the water dropped 50-50,I cast some of those last night in hp's for 45 colt and made a few to try in my 500JRH judt to experiment with.

There is no need to wait for anything when using straight WW air cooled. Nothing gained, nothing lost. Just let them cool enough to keep from burning your fingers. If you want to harden the boolits, an over rated exercise for most applications IMHO, then wait at least 7 days before shooting them.

the 75/25 is about 18 the next day, and settles out to about 22.
it's what i mostly use as an alloy.
