I melted 20 pounds of solder swipes that had a metal number stamp of 40 on them down into 1 pound ingots. Do not know if that was for tin or lead . But according to my cabine tree tester they are about 20 bhn . When I melted them I had a hard time because they would start to go from liquid to solid to fast . I have a lot of pure lead to mix them into . Question is how many pounds to 10 pounds of pure do you think would be a good starting point . End bhn can vary from 8 - 15 but the solidifying problem needs to go away before I try and cast with it .Marvin
