I've never liked Alox for bullet lube (too messy for one thing) but I've always had some around from the early days. It always seemed that I'd wind up with a stick or two in a trade or package deal. Well today I found out what it's good for. I'm having to tighten up this old dried out wood deck at the back of the house. It sure does help those 2 and 3 inch deck screws go into that seasoned deck wood.
