..............All we have to do now is jusy hang around and wait for the range report. You might also find yourself wanting to maybe swap those Red Dot charges for maybe Unique, or even 2400 + one or two grains.

Start Load: (5 Shots @ 4 Attempts = 20 rnds) Start Load: 11.0 gr. Fps: 1479 EST.
MOA: = 3 – 8 typ. Inconsistent, The Rifle didn’t like this one.
MOA avg: = N/A Due to Striping (Shot all just to recover the brass)
MOA Extreme: = > 8
STOP: RIFLE COOLDOWN AND REPATCHED. COOLED FOR 30 MIN.
Notes: (Under powered?) Low Recoil & Report for a ought 6 and shot LOW (striping)
Very easy case ejection, Min. case swelling, No leading, some residue but not excessive.
Felt like I Lobed the Boolit instead of launching it
OVERALL: = A “NO-GO / Not Impressed (Except that I Can Say, “I Made That!” )

Med Load: (5 Shots @ 4 Attempts = 20 rnds) Med Load: 12.5 gr. Fps: 1620 EST

The attention of the Cadillac Shooter’s (Sako, Browning…etc)
OVERALL: = Tight Groups with Med. Power (A KEEPER)

Max Load: (5 Shots @ 4 Attempts = 20 rnds) Max Load: 14.0 gr. Fps: 1750 EST
MOA: = 2 – 4.25 bullet rise evident, Larger Spread

MOA Extreme: = 4.25
STOP: RIFLE COOLDOWN AND REPATCHED. COOLED FOR 30 MIN.
Notes: Big Recoil With Sissy Pad ouch! Barrel Rise evident & Loud Report
Rifle Shot Like Std. Store bought Ammo, A lot of residue, No leading
OVERALL: = Good Hog Load @ Short Range I’m Think’n, Can it get better?

Forums Advice Load: Buckshot’s Fault (hehehe) Yes it Does Get Better!
Unique 17.0 gr. Fps: 1941 EST Loaded 6 rnd. “Wish I had 20 rnds.”
MOA: = 1.25 – 2.75 (Must be the Pwdr) On Zero “Tighter Pattern”
MOA avg: = 2.0 Ã think it could have been better! maybe (Tunnel vision?)
MOA Extreme: = 2.75
STOP: End Of Test “No More Boolits Going to the House”
Notes: Accurate. + Powerful. It definitely lets me know that there was load change!
Big Recoil & Report. Probably, My NEW hunting Load! Thanx’s Buckshot!
More testing needs to be done with this Loverin design and Unique
Consistently shot better than Med. Load.
OVERALL: = I Need to Get Some Unique of my OWN!

Well looking at your range report shows a lot of good work with the Red Dot powder.

I shoot 13.0gr in my 30-06 1917 Enfield and I average the same size groups as your Medium load of 12.5gr. With my rifle I shoot Lee's .312 155gr GC Tumble Lube Spitzer sized to .310. When I fire 11.0gr of Red Dot she would keyhole on me at 50 yards and they would fail to seal at the cartridge mouth scorching the case. 12gr was better sealing but left an open 5" group. 13.0 shot to 2.75" at 100 but when I shot 14.0gr I opened up to 6" groups and I noticed a sharper kick to the recoil.

Give Red Dot another try at a charge weight between your Medium and Heavy load. You might find you have a happy medium or you can write it off as load development!

Sounds like the Unique was doing great. I think I'd try a little more and a little less around your load to see if things get better. I can't help but mess with something, even if it is working good.
