Orders WILL NOT BE FILLED AS FAST AS IN THE PAST.....it's going to take 2 weeks per order...so be aware of that.

These are made from formed 223 brass.

http://i1193.photobucket.com/albums/aa341/grumpaboo/100_0151950x713.jpg

LC brass I generally have a lot of on hand.

http://i1193.photobucket.com/albums/aa341/grumpaboo/300blk03opjpg.png

I do the same thing on all the brass that I process, and that is as follows.

They have all been de-burred
They have all been tumbled in Stainless Steel media.
They have all been trimmed to Spec.
ANYTHING that looks like it has a primer crimp is swagged out.

-------------->NEW OPTION<-----------

Annealing will be offered for the 300 Blackout at an extra charge of .03ea

Now for the other services I provide but must be read and understood completely. (annealing not included for the below offerings, only at an additional .03ea)
************************************************** ************************************************
I've had inquiries on if I would convert others brass. That gets done at .10ea and that doesn't include shipping. They MUST all be the same head stamp.

************************************************** ************************************************
Or they can be domestic brass in there own bags (separated) of different head stamps.

For the people with more brass than $$$ I have in the past processed there brass at a 3 to 1 ratio (send 300 you get 100 back, they must all be the same head stamp) and that doesn't include shipping. This MUST be cleared through me first, I don't always have the time to do this type of a thing, I just do this to help others out.

And I'm not talking I plan on getting something that uses that round within 6mo and that's when I want to send the brass, that part if I have the time gets done at that point and not after. I don't always know how busy I'll be next week even.

************************************************** ************************************************

For the above, anyone that sends brass lets be reasonable and not send badly tarnished or corroded brass that I have to spend an eternity on trying to get it nice, clean, and shiny. Also no imported brass unless I can ship it ALL back.

NO FOREIGN BRASS I have processed this in the past and it's hit and miss to keep them in spec. The biggest issue is the brass thickness which varies so wildly it's a real PITA and it pretty much wont turn out useable brass. Also on the list although domestic is head stamp KFA which is made by Kilgore Ammunition Products and they make there stuff for LE and Military, the brass is so thick it's useless for turning into 300 Blackout brass.

I am the only one I know of that do what they do with the power of the sun.

The brass alone is a great deal, compounded by a cordial seller and a fast turnaround.
I couldn't be happier.

The above two reviews are SPOT ON!

The consistancy and quality of this brass (I got 500 ea. of .221 and .300) is BETTER than what I see in NEW brass!

Matt is a super person with whom to deal.

Can you supply the 300 Blackout brass annealed in 1000 round or greater lots? Trying to save me the cost of a Giraud annealing machine.

I've been bouncing that idea in my head for some time now. And last I checked I almost fell over for the price they charge for that particular service. I anneal the 222 Rem and the 221 Fireball and the 7mm TCU (which is out for field trials) and figured I would offer that added service for .03ea when ordering from me. Come to think of it I'll update the main post to add that as an option.

Will certainly do more business with in the future.

Thank you again.

GRUMPA
11-24-2012, 07:29 AM
I really wasn't planning to get into anything that required me to use another parent case, I can make a lot of different things just with the 223 cases. Personally with as much as I can make from the parent case that can keep a feller real busy all in its own.

Right now my suppliers are being hit hard with orders, the
ones that I use are out of brass. I got 1 of my old suppliers
to ship brass but they are what he calls "culls" and by that
it means the ones that aren't any good for 223's (bad necks and
shoulders) that may be fine for 300 Blackout. I have yet to
get them in and sort thru them yet, so only time will tell.

But even at that it takes me 1hr per K to sort by head stamp
and to give them a quick visual inspection and try and
find the rejects.

Even with the current state of panic buying the brass (culls) are
costing me more, so I have no choice but to pass the rise
in cost down the line. I know on my sales page I have that
the price will go up .01ea at the beginning of the year,
but now it looks like .04ea since I cant find suppliers
that aren't raising there prices with the demand they are
getting.

I know for most folks out there this is going to be a shock
to them, I'm trying to make the shooting sports on an
affordable level but I'm having a very hard time finding
brass at .05ea currently, right now they're costing me .085ea
just for culls.

As far as a waiting list is concerned I don't want to do that
sort of thing, it gives folks a wrong impression thinking it's
just a matter of time before they get there order with brass
being in such hi demand at the moment.

I know that this isn't something a person wants to hear but
it is at least the truth of the matter.

I understand you are not taking orders. But when you do how do I place a order?
Thank you

GRUMPA
01-09-2013, 03:16 PM
As of this moment I'm concentrating on the orders that I already have from folks that ordered prior to me not taking any orders. I'm not going to get into this long explanation but to sum it up my joints are screaming at me and they're doing it with a vengeance.

I"m going to get all orders out and then I'm taking some time off to recoup and get some much needed work done here. Pull a lever 2K times a day for over 10 months and you'll know what I mean, and without a real day off.

IF all goes well I will be up and running again in the middle of Feb if I can find the brass I need. I have my supplier sending me more but that 55gal drum of his culls is nearing the empty point. With the current state of panic buying brass right now is rather hard to come by, as most can understand.

I will put this in print:

IF YOU CAN SEND THE BRASS IN FOR CONVERSION SO MUCH THE BETTER, IT'S FASTER THAT WAY.

I changed my first post but I thought I would put it in a post rather than taking up space. I'm still trading my brass for 22cal and 30cal J-Words, seems most folks prefer that, I've been doing a lot of orders that way. I'm going to add to that here and this post will be updated accordingly.

Additional things that can used in trade:
Large cal pistol brass 1x fired only Domestic
Moulds in 38cal, 45cal, 30cal ----> No LEE, RCBS, Lyman
Pure Lead in ingots
Core Moulds....38cal 110-115gr, 38cal 158gr, 38cal 125gr.....Lee 6 cavities for this are OK

Matt, I got my brass I sent you for conversion back today. It looks great in all aspects. Length is dead-on, case mouths are even and burr-free, crimps are gone, cases themselves are well formed, and the annealing looks very consistent. If it wasn't for the LC headstamps I'd say it was factory brass. I can't wait (although I'll have to for a couple weeks) to load some of this up, I'm sure it'll work out great for me. Thanks for a job well done. Anyone who is thinking about doing business with Grumpa won't be disappointed.
