hello;

anyone use bullets cast from a lee bullet mold for both 9mm and 38spl.???

got a six cavity lee mold for a swc 140 grain bullet. bullet is great in the 38spl. but having pressure problems when using this bullet in the 9mm.

speed is not important, accuracy is.

have @ 5 pounds each of hp38 and accurate #5.

thanks for any suggestions.

Looks good - how far to seat? Just above crimp groove?

right in there.
some have to seat a bit deeper depending on the rifling/throat area.
no big deal, cut the powder down a titch more.
make a couple of dumy rounds and make sure of feeding.
then you can make load adjustments based on that.

I have one 9mm HiPower that has a chamber that will not accept cartridges loaded with bullets larger than .356". Make up a few dummies before you load a lot.

My experience with 9mm barrels is that their groove diameters are all bigger than .356". If your chamber will not accept them, you are stuck with jacketed.
