I have a bunch of isotope lead. I understand the cores are supposed to be 96/3/1. Does anyone know what the small misc. containers comprise of? How about the core plugs? They are supposed to be around 12.5 bhn. I melted some small misc containers and when cooling, stay at about 560 degrees until it all solidifies. Does this reveal anything?
Thanks
Aaron

most of the little ones are 2.5/2.5/90.
dunno about the plugs but i'd bet they are the same composition as the containers.

Here is a great site that gives some descriptions of the various isotope containers that are out there...

I can tell you this - they make great boolits as is. Might want to add a little tin for fillout. Other than that, you're good to go. BHN on mine was about 11 or so. Good stuff. enjoy Mike

I have a line on a couple of large cores... can't wait to get them and pour a few boolits with them.

According to the website above, the core plugs are harder. I kept the cores separate for now and am melting the small ones now. I have 1.5 five gallon buckets of core plugs and two ton of the other stuff.
