went to the rock spring, wy, gun show fri/sat.

the goal was a couple days off, and look for ....

a 358 win...in any gun.

i picked up 50 pcs of 284 to fire form for one of the k-31's

saw a 308 99.....$650...pass( didnt i just pass on an excellent 308 for 450...stupid me)

of all things found a ruger 77 in ...you guessed it...358.....near new cond.
with an $800 price tag....offered him 500.......
left with most my money...
picked up a new (1996) 358 203 rn gc lyman mold...$20
250 new 358 brass.....$32

i'm getting closer to having everything but the gun.....
guess i may just have to build one after all......

When I lived in Aurora on Moline St. I used to hit up as many of the Gunshows that I could. My favorite was the Crossroads of the West there at the Holiday Inn(hope it is still as good), didn't care much for the one there in the Ntl. Guard Armory. I think I remember one up on the north edge of town on I 25 or one of the major roads that ran north and south. I miss the lightening shows but not the hail storms.

I understand, Mike--it's the great joy of launching that priming rod 3-5 feet upward while seating caps. EVERYONE needs to try that a couple times.

3 to 5 feet? Hell, Al, my first such little "incident" took place in the "living room" (also dining room/spare bedroom/den, etc) of our first apartment-I was sitting on the floor using a piece of 2 x 4 as a block on the carpet, and stuck my seating rod into the ceiling. Large pistol primer. Almost had to swear of reloading forever.......barely outvoted the wife of 6 weeks or so.
