Went to our local Game and Parks office yesterday and they sold me a Senior Hunt/Fish combination with all state required stamps for the grand sum of $5.00.
Told the lady that I'd gladly pay full price if she'd turn my clock back 30 years.
I'm old and life is still good!

Gotta be some perks for us oldies.
My wife and I get free Pioneer Hunting and Fishing Combos in Oregon.
Requirments are being 65 and and a 50 year resident of the state.
A senior combo is $25 for those 70 and 5 year resident.
A Disabled Vet also gets a free combo.....dale

IIRC, at 65 years old, in Arkansas you buy your last hunting and fishing license. Reverts to a lifetime license after that.

In Okla. if you don't have a lifetime H&F license and turn 65 you buy one more license good for the rest of your life.

I thought about asking about a "lifetime" permit but the young lady selling licenses probably figured the one year may be "lifetime" for me. You never know.

Don't forget the senior menu at Denny's. Mostly I like that option because I don't eat like I once did--ravenously.

My concealed carry is only $35 now in place of $75. Hunting license was also cheaper I think $7 instead of $35, don't remember for sure.:veryconfu

I'm not sure getting up 42 times to go to the bathroom during the night and then limping to the table for breakfast is worth all the discounts. However, I also enjoy the senior discounts....

I'm also enjoying some of the benefits of age. Not enjoying the arthritis and tooth problem though.

Hey, another Rex here. Great name.

Rex I had a step dad that ranched north of Kimball back in the 50s. His last name was Ostgren if You new any ranchers north of Kimball. He has several sections of land and many producing wells on the land, and still was a turd!

KY's got the same deal. Combo hunting and fishing and all the stamps for a $5 bill. I just ask for a "geezer permit" when it's time and BTW, tomorrow, it's time./beagle

The Colorado legislature voted to fund the Homestead Exemption where homeowners 65 and over who have lived in their houses at least 10 years get a 50% break on their property taxes if their house is valued at $200,000 or less and a smaller break if it is valued greater than that. This had not been funded for several years due to budget problems.

Boys, I think the young lady who sold me my yearly combo permit probably thought that a one year might be "Lifetime Permit" for me. :)

Here over 65 and income $1400 or less per month married or $800 if single the fee is $6.70. My fishing license will run right at $50 when I get the required stamps.

Sorry McD's coffee is really nasty.

I like most every cup I buy at all kinds of gas stations / convenience stores.

I buy the bargain brand at wally world and make it strong as hell at home.

And somehow Ronald manages to gorp it up to undrinkable on a corporate international level.

I turn 55 in a couple of months, I'll have to start trying the "senior" angle.

My hunting and fishing costs will go down next July. I get discounts all over the place! It's all good. Considering the alternative to gettin old, I feel great. Besides my signature, my dad had another favorite saying--"You have an alternative to getting old." I'll pass.

markshere2 yes I do admit that getting a GOOD cup of coffee is not easy and that the McDonalds variety is not nearly as good as I can get at home. However I like coffee and in my day I've had some pretty bad coffee and still managed to drink it.
