How can i open a 459 Lyman size die to 461. I tried sand paper but did not make any difference. Any suggestions.

Try 400 grit emery cloth. I assume you are using a split rod in a drill to spin the abrasive.

No, I tried a dowlrod with 300 grit sandpaper. I don't have access to a split rod.

Gently split the dowel a short distance from the end with a pocket knife and try it again.

Ok, I understand now. Not what I thought you ment by " split rod". I will give this a try. :mrgreen:
