View Full Version : Started smelting today in anticipation

...of my equipment arrival. I have 220 lbs of pure and 250 lbs of WW in ingots. Got alot of ww left to smelt, probably another 800ish lbs. I was very lucky as I spent a few hours over two days hitting tire stores and ended up with 11+ 5gal buckets of ww.

I also located a 55 gal drum full of lino at a local recycler. He wants .55 a pound for it. I have a couple of hundred pounds of lino, but I think I will get some more anyway.

BUY THAT LINO!!! If you don’t use it all you can always sell the surplus to a fellow caster. It’s becoming hard to find and .55 is a good price.

Welcome aboard, Aaron. That price of .55/lb isn't bad for lino, I would move on it. Lino is getting a little scarce.

I would love to purchase the lino, but i just sprang for four group buys, three of them moulds and a bunch of gc. On top of that, i ordered a star sizer, magma 40 lb pot, thermometer, and two rowell ladles. So, in other words, I'm pretty tapped.
