Are their sizers for .401 caliber bullets that I
could put a bullet in and hammer a little bit with a rod to compress
or shorten the bullet a teeney bit ? Just flatten the nose a little
is what I am talking about and take the dish shape out of the
back end of the bullet.

I am talking about 40 cal pistol bullets and would like to get
back .03 to .04 inches in length by pushing the nose a little flatter
etc.

Thanks

If you do that, the bullets will get fatter.

I suppose that when the bullet is in the sizer die, you could tap it with a rod while holding the other end with a ram, but I really don't see why you think that this is necessary.

You can do that with one of BT Snipers 40 caliber swaging dies.

I do it often with .357 and .44 mag bullets.

I plan on doing that with some of my .40 cal bullets, if he makes his dies out to .403-.404. It seems to be the only way I can get .40cal bullets that size because nobody makes oversize moulds or sizers. I think its a different swaging company though.

I think that is what he wants to do,or to make more dense bullets?
