Has anyone used super molly to prevent the leading issues in a flock barrel?

Sorry, I don't know what a Flock barrel is. Molly in general is not a cast boolit lube, not in the sense that it does anything that a lube does.

If you mean a Glock barrel, fit is king. Lead works fine if it fits.

the bbl brand don't matter really.
the rifling style makes some difference though.
a moly coating has been used to coat boolits with varying degrees of success.
i have a frend that uses the old [impact dry type] moly coating process to coat his, and he has to really search for a load sometimes to make them shoot well.

What's a Flock barrel? I ask only because that's how you spelled it twice.

I have a friend who makes AR15 barrels by the hundreds each month.
After seeing what moly does to them and other barrels, I will not allow the stuff on my property

Just read an old article in a Handloader magazine and the only good results were with loads that were pushed. Light target loads did not perform as well as straight cast and lubed boolits. He had tested .38's, .45 acp, .45 LC, .45-70 and .30-30 and got the same results.

I used Ly Super-Moly lube in the early 90's. It was very messy but shot good groups and did not lead. I have never owned a Flock or a Glock. It did OK in rifle loads from 1600-2400 fps, speed will not be a lube issue in a 9mm with it.

Moly seems to be better when used quite lightly. It is a solid and can gum things up. BTW, on lube forum, a guy says that Sandstrom 28 A is about the same as the old Bullet Master lube. I used to get some purty hot loads to not lead with that. Nowadays I put a little in my lubes. I'm doing this in hopes it ends up in with the carnauba wax coating the barrel. Seems to werk.
