John, Nobel Sport powders are listed on burn rate charts as Vectan.

I bought an 8 lb jug a while back. It is intended as a 9mm Luger
powder, and I have used it for that with some success. I have
tried working up loads for .45 ACP and find it a bit unpredictable
with that cartridge. My normal routine is to start VERY low to be
safe, chrono a few loads and then plot the velocity vs. grains
of powder and then predict what amount of powder will get me
what I want in velocity. Didn't work well on the first pass, got
much more velocity than predicted - had to back off quite a bit.
Nothing scary but it is not linear for .45 ACP, and in my experience
this is not a good thing.
Unfortunately, I don't shoot enough 9mm to use this up in 100 yrs,
so am going to try it in some other cartridges that I do shoot
more. Not sure it will work well in .45 Colt or .44 Mag (special level
loads, not mag) or possibly in .357 mag or .38 Spl.
