Any of you guys shoot real long fowling guns?

Mike a 42 inch C weight is about all I can handle anymore for the clays. The long guns do catch the eye. I would like to have a club butt fowler do to my family history.

I shoot a 44" barrel fowler., it handles like a dream. A friend of mine has one of Ronn Paul's (board member here) fowlers, with a full 60" barrel. It is sweet, but just hauling it in a vehicle can be a challenge.
I see he has put a rear sight on it unfortunately. That can be removed, and a filler put in easily, though.
I remember Ray Miller building long barreled rifles about 40 years ago, that were so long they had to be attached to his lodge poles when coming to rendezvous!

I no longer get anything over 38" as in the past I've found them difficult to handle and almost impossible to get in my truck. I think they are beautiful, however.

I understand Mike, my guns ride up front, even if my friends have to ride in the back.:bigsmyl2:
