There's always a name to go with the mascot and an inspiring story, whoop it on me!:drinks:

Methinks Galena would be quite fitting.

This is a great thread...a great question! What is "boolette's" inspiration? Someone's wife, girlfriend, a Marvell Comic super hero perhaps? Where's 45Nut when you need'im? Give us the skinny!

We should at least write a song about her. Substitute gunfire for drums.

There was a lengthy discussion when she first appeared. IIRC some members thought she was a little too risqué for a family friendly site. I believe she was intended as a tribute to the nose art that appears on warbirds from various conflicts.

that's correct the nose art from the WW2 war birds was the inspiration for ken.

I figured that nose art was the inspiration, and thats why I asked. Those girls always had a name and a story. (compared to the traditional nose art girls, Boolette is relatively well clad)
Too bad we'll only ever see her at the top of the homepage.

Another example of good, wholesome nose art.

You all have it wrong her name is Freedom because if you don't have bullets and a way to use them your are a subject and live at the whim of your master and his followers.
You want to know her story read your history don't care where you are or what nation you call home Freedom is there or has been there and left a long story for your about her.
In my country now we see her being put in chains and a jail cell in the name of the common good and it is sad the more they shut her away the less freedom we have and can enjoy. I have no doubt that one day my country will take my life as they see me as a problem that needs to be removed, why because I wore my uniform of my country and swore and oath to protect from evil both from within and from without.
My only salvation is that I am old and nature my beat them to the punch but then again who really knows anymore.

Somebody used to have an avatar of a Barbie doll dressed up like “Boolette” riding a chrome boolit. I can’t remember who it was, but I thought it was creative.

Enjoyed the pic of the B-17. That exact bird ("Aluminum Overcast") visited where I was in Georgia in the mid-'90's and I got to do the walk-thru tour but there were no flights that day due to weather. Amazing on the inside; it looks big but is really crowded in there! Makes you appreciate those WW II airmen all the more.

Jbunny. IIRC that was a trophy the staff awarded for the castpic of the month.
