aren't most of them dead or on life support or in wheel chairs??
i don't think glen campbell or charlie manson is gonna make it..

have fun, be prepared for the driving there.
my souped up mustang will barely keep up with the taxi's.
the freeway isn't so bad though.
and paralell roads aren't paralell, most of them go wherever, and if it looks like the wrong way around to somewhere it's where you need to go.

I seen them, (what was supposed to be them) a few years ago at the county fair. There was only one original Beach Boy, Mike Love.
Enjoy the music.

eee gawds.

I've seen rockers that were two generations younger than them, and I hid my face, waved in surrender, and said "oh, please, god, stop, don't..."

Second hardest thing to do at a party is get a musician to sing, hardest is to get them to stop.

Have a great time and enjpy a vacation, come back refreshed. That is what life is about.

well you could have made it an extended vacation by driving and spending some time at NCBS shoot in Nevada on your way to or fro.

but I trust you will still have a good time. Don't go looking for the show girls of the same age as the band either!

I've seen them live half a dozen times, all many years ago. They always played and sang true to their albums which I like in a band. Good shows and I enjoyed every one. I saw them on TV recently and by golly they are aging. Still sounded good though.

Hope you have a blast!

any band that sounds the same in person as they do in the studio is a rare treat.
even coming close is an achievement,
and those that do seem to also be the more successfull ones.
i hate seeing a band that plays two albums worth of music in 45 minutes.
or is so loud you can't recognize a song that you have heard over 100 times.

The Boys were always a sing along treat. :)

Speaking of old groups - there are a couple of swell video on Youtube of the Diamonds singing 'Little Darlin', before and after. Hot DAM! They look (and SOUND!) GREAT!
Before: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sI_LVtatBsU
After: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmT1-jEmK74&feature=related
I will bet a new HAT that you will be REALLY SMILING while watching these!

And then there are the 4 Freshmen, none of which are original - but they perform the original arrangements, and (like the originals) play their own instruments. And then there are the . . .

Them would be groupies if they were the same age and following the band!
If they are down town they would be commercial gals!

LOL Ken.

Saw the Beach Boys in the mid 70's at the Milwaukee County Stadium. A sing along band indeed. Nothing quite like 58K+ people singing BA-BA-BA BA-BARBRA ANN!

My kids went to Hawthorne High with Brian Wilson and knew the Beach Boys. My oldest son was in a music class with Brian, and the teacher told Wilson: "You had better get a job; if you try to get anywhere in the music business, you'll be parking cars in two years."
Oh Well........... Those who can, do; those who can't..........................

I saw most of the original group live in the mid 70's as well. You could almost hear them over the crowd...
