According to Accurate's v322 web manual page 3, 6.0 is a max load for a 124 grain RNL. I've used it with that profile and TC/TL with no ill effects. Records show all 6.0 grain loadings of AA#5 chambered and shot well with muzzle velocity being less than what was given in the manual. But clocked MV is often different from published.

6.0 AA#5 being a max load per the Accurate people, I think it advisable you don't just jump in and load 6.0 on your first attempts; start at the starting load (90%; 5.4 grains) and work up. Your Glock is plenty strong, but it's just never a good idea to start with a max loading of any powder.

Additional data: http://www.accuratepowder.com/load-data/ (Click the blue "Metallic Load Guide Version 3.5" button and again, see page 3 Lead Bullets section)
The latest Accurate web manual v3.5 is far more detailed than v322 and shows a max AA#5 load as 5.4 grains for a 124 RNL. I've used 6.0 grains for years but then my powder predates either of these manuals; they may have changed the powder's formulation. Use the latest data and start at the latest recommended starting charge.

To me AA#5 is one of the best powders around as it burns almost identically to Unique and it meters much better.

My experience is 5.1 won't cycle the action with any consistency. 5.4 does. Start there and work up. I settled at 5.5 grains of that powder in a Mod. 17
I love AA #5

+1, and it is also a LOT cleaner burning.

I use it for a lot of loads ranging from .38 Special +P with my 158SWC to my .44 Special loads. Using jacketed projectiles in 9mm, I can get BETTER than factory accuracy and performance using AA#5, and I've also got a couple of very good light .44 Magnum loads with it.

Great powder.

I'm wondering if if would work like Unique in cast boolit rifle loads, 35 Remington and 30-30 in particular.

I REALLY DISLIKE ACCURATE#5 POWDER!!! I dislike it SO MUCH, that I only buy it in 8 LB. jugs!!:holysheep I use it in all my pistol cartridge loadings from an .32 acp to the 9mm and .38`s family up thru the .45 family and .44 family of cartridges. Don`t sell this fine powder short till you`ve had a chance to appreciate

Know what you mean.
Last AA#5 purchase was 3 lbs. then another # from the same lot.
Thought I'd try canister 4759 and 4227 so I bought some of those to try.

Had to spread th money around. Shooting up the last of Bartletts 16 lbs of
AA#5 clone from about 12 years ago.

My competition load for the 30/30 in my Tender is normally 17.5 2400 (180 LBT SP) and I loaded some up just this past Sunday. While loading I had one of my other measures set up with 10.5 AA#5 for my 45LC. I made about 20 of the loads with it and they shot great. I may have to do more testing with it but have shot the 2400 load for so many years I don't know if it is worth it.

here's another strong supporter of AA#5. I also use it in all my pistols from 38 sp. to 45LC.I like it for all the reasons already stated. I was under the impression from the polls etc. that not alot of people on this board use it. I have also wondered about it's use in rifles (like Unique) but was afraid to try it. I figured that someone would have done it if it was doable. Shoot Straight, T-Bird
