I am new at loading cast bullets and am trying to locate information for the 260 gr wfngc LBT by cast performance bullets bullets for 44 magnum to be shot in a 6.5" 29 s&w for bear hunting. I have been told to use jacketed data to start but was looking for someone who has used these bullets and their info. have h110, lilgun, and enforcer powders
thanks

I see there's not much info for that bullet. I've not used that bullet but I do shoot the Lyman 429640HP which is GC'd and weights 270 gr fully dressed. Out of my Contender test barrel (WWcases with Fed 150 primers) 20 gr of Alliant 2400 pushes it at 34,800 psi(M43). That is just under the SAAMI MAP of 36,000 psi for the 44 Magnum. Velocity is 1480 fps from the 8.4" Contender barrel.

The same bullet in the same WW cases with CCI 350 primers over 23 gr H110 runs at 30,200 psi(M43). The volocity is 1486 fps. Accuracy is excellent with both loads but I use the H110 load in my Ruger FTBH with 6 1/2" barrel because of the equal performance/accuracy at less psi. That load runs 1350 fps out of the Ruger revolver.

Not sure this info helps but it is the closest tested data I have and use to the 260 gr bullet of your question. I would not hesitate to use my load on a bear BTW.

Seems to me that the Hodgdon website has data for heavier than normal .44 bullets. Check that, pick the starting load for the next heavier weight bullet and go for it. You'll need to work up your loads anyway and this will give you a place to start./beagle

I use the 265 RD with 22 gr of 296 and a Fed 150 primer. Should work fine with H110 and a 260 gr.
Work to 22.5 gr and see if it is more accurate.
