I'm looking for a 405 gr mold for my 1895 and was wondering if anyone has used Tom's Marlin 460M mold for the 405? If so, is the crimp in the top groove and set the OAL of the cartridge to 2.55 for the Marlin's? I'd rather not crimp in front of the crimp ring---not that it makes a difference just wondering.
I'm using his #68 clone for my 1911's and they eat them up and spit them in the same hole so I'm not worried about his quality, just the design.
Any help/comments is appreciated.
