Received my powder comp plug and die body for my 45-70. Die plug reads 45cal; however, die body is for 50-70. Will compress powder, but must be careful to make sure plug enters mouth of case without damage. The plug will not fit my RCBS die as the diameter of the threads is larger. Body is Lyman. Question is, right combo to use? Thanks......

I use a universal Lyman depriming die with a compression plug.
Just put a slight flair on the case mouth and feed it in slow.
Make sure your case holder is clean and the case is in it fully.

It's the same for all of us ...

Thanks for your answers. Looks like I'm good to go as soon as my
powder arrives......
