Not quite ready to start casting. Do some of you have any suggestions where i can purchase pre-cast boolets at a reasonable price. I would like to size and lube myself.
Thanks
Big Sam

What are you interested in?? I would be willing to give you some to try. I don't have a huge selection but I might be able to help you out. I owe someone a PIF from another act of kindness a gentleman extended to me. Let me know. I'll be more than happy to help.

Big Sam,
if Lizard333 can't help you out,
send me a PM of your "wants"
I have a lot of molds, maybe I have one you're wanting.

If you contact the commercial cast boolit suppliers they may sell you unsized and unlubed boolits. I have purchased thousands of those in the past. I preferred my 9mm boolits to be sized .358 instead of 355/356 and that's why I did it in addition to using my lube which works better (IMO) as it is not as hard as the lube commercial casters use.

Hi hothandle,
Welcome to the Cast Boolit Community!!

Although we focus in Muzzleloading Projectiles, my boolit specialty is .45 Pistol & .45 Rifle.
I also cast a few other calibers in Smokeless and Black Powder Cartridge, both sized/lubed & unsized/unlubed.

PM me if interested with your desired Projectile needs.

hothandle,

Welcome to the CB site and hope you enjoy it cause I know I do.

On the 240x430 44mag

Does it make a difference to you if they have gas checks on them? Trust me there are a lot of types out there.
Also will this be used in a pistol or rifle?
Some types of boolits work in lever actions and some don't.
Also in the past if I wanted something I didn't cast for I would post in the WTB section of the forum.http://castboolits.gunloads.com/forumdisplay.php?f=47

Hopefully the several smaller commercial casters that are members will chime in......

I'd buy from them if I didn't want to cast my own.

Welcome to CastBoolits, mthom1957 and Big Sam. You'll find a wealth of information on this forum and most members will be glad to assist you. But be advised, you should quit now or you WILL be addicted just like everyone else here. I've only been casting for a few months now and I'm already addicted. I don't have anything in .44 but if you wanted .45 I'd be more than happy to help ya out. BC

Wouldn't Pre-Cast boolits be lead ingots? Jes Kiddin; Welcome to the forum. Hang around here long enough and you'll wind up casting yer own. You've already gotten some good offers, but if they don't pan out try "want to buy" section in the classifieds.
