I recently bought a box of beeswax at an estate sale, and with it were other waxes from Zophar Mills. They were marked as follows: 1546, C90, C189, C276, C770, F510, Q322, and Q461. I emailed the company, which is still in business. They told me these were mineral waxes made for sealing various electrical components. They did say that 1546 had a similar melting point to beeswax, but that was all the info they volunteered. They varied in color from white (like paraffin) to orange. One of them looked exactly like rosin.

Any ideas, knowledge, or speculations?
