It sure is. Why are the charging extra to ship to AK and HI. Costs the same in a flat rate bx!

funny.

I paid a bit over $100 for mine recently in a moment of madness and was feeling like a sucker. At least there is one other guy crazier than me.I feel like selling mine now.

+1 for what FrankG says!

Accurate Molds would make a multi cavity mold in brass for just over $100!

Maybe it is the "antique" value of the TC mould that drives up price (not!).

There are some guys that are serious collectors. They must have a lot more money than me.

The sellers way of making more profit.

Now I wish I had never sold mine. The Green Mountain Barrel on my Lyman GPR didn't like this boolit so I sold the mold for a lot less than this one.:not listening:

man a good mold maker would make you one for about a 1/3 of that

Have mercy. No matter the reason, a 1970s aluminum mold in an easily reproduced design is no anitque nor is it particularly collectible. I guess there is some possibility of a few shill bid buddies in on a scam in order to inflate pricing on those things for some future sales plan. In contrast, an original Sharps mold in pristine condition from the 1870s would be another matter :)

"I guess there is some possibility of a few shill bid buddies in on a scam in order to inflate pricing on those things for some future sales plan."

Two points to make about fuBay: First, people have been bidding up the prices of molds/moulds to ridiculous levels in the last few years. Second, the site's policing is much more rigorous than it used to be, making shill bidding much more difficult (but probably not impossible).

i personally believe there's some kinda fraud goin' on at evil-bay. but if not, as my old friend "hollywood" was fond of sayin'-"no law against bein' stupid!" for what it's worth and have a good'en, bubba.

I would consider having Tom make a clone of the 32 maxi in brass if I knew the specs on it. Does anyone have or know where to go to get the specs? I imagine someone with one of the moulds could measure it up. At any rate I think it is worth a try. I looked on Accurate Molds web site and currently there is not a .32 maxi clone listed.

I'd say shill bidding is unlikely in most cases like this, but to think it is easily controlled or detected just because Fleabay says so- Hah! Only the dumbest frauds get caught or stopped.

That is one mould I will never own. I may be a collector of guns, moulds, brass ect, but I don't care who made it as long as it works well. My 50 cal round ball mould is a Lee and it does just fine.

Best wishes,

Joe

Thanks George:
I will be interested in seeing what Tom comes up with. This is probably one of the last molds I "need", but it would be nice to have. Expecially in brass. I have used my .32 with PRB successfully for squirrel with very good results. So I don't think a maxi is needed especially. But "need " doesn't always enter in to our buying decisions.

Figures a few years back I had around 50 moulds to sell. I had all the T/C maxi;s. Sold the 32 for $35.00. I notice flea bay gets 10 times what I get on GunBroker.
